Classes, Courses & Events

CAW is intentionally creating a reciprocal on-line community.  We feature quarterly meetings for all members to touch base and celebrate the annual rotation of earth and the cosmos by honoring the solstices and equinoxes.  Our online courses and “Shareshops” are presented by members and guests to offer a wide range of topics to share, discuss and learn from each other.  Most are free to members or require a modest fee.  Keep checking the site for what’s happening.

JoAnne Casey will present a second series (highly requested by  members) to explore deeper into the wisdom and beauty of the Celtic Spirit Wheel.  Do not miss this.

The Celtic Wheel of Life is a cyclical map representing natural and personal rhythms, including the seasons, day and night, and the cycle of life, death and rebirth. It explores key aspects of nature, the elements, the directions, balance of energies, personal connections and insight into our own being. The aspects of ritual and intention are woven into our alignment with the natural world and personal growth. It teaches perspective beyond the individual to include the recognition of our connections to a larger, sacred, spiritual rhythm of life and land.  This system celebrates the sovereignty of all women.  Return to the wisdom of cycles, spirals and circles. Only offered once a year.

January 27, 2026 and every other Tuesday for 7 sessions:

    Time: 6:00pm MDT

    Dates:

    Bookshelf Treasures

Featured book: Miss Benson's Beetle by Rachel Joyce

This month we are looking for adventure and a beautifully written book that tells  of an extraordinary quest by two ordinary women. We found this treasure for your total enjoyment.  A school teacher and a spinster embark on an expedition to find a golden beetle. We are reminded that the journey is often more life-changing than the destination.

It is 1950. London is still reeling from World War II, and Margery Benson, a schoolteacher and spinster, is trying to get through life, surviving on scraps. One day, she reaches her breaking point, abandoning her job and small existence to set out on an expedition to the other side of the world in search of her childhood obsession: an insect that may or may not exist—the golden beetle of New Caledonia. When she advertises for an assistant to accompany her, the woman she ends up with is the last person she had in mind. Fun-loving Enid Pretty in her tight-fitting pink suit and pom-pom sandals seems to attract trouble wherever she goes. But together these two British women find themselves drawn into a cross-ocean adventure that exceeds all expectations and delivers something neither of them expected to find: the transformative power of friendship.

This discussion is a frequency attunement through language.
Words are not just communication—they are energetic commands.

We will discuss the etymology of the common words we use in our everyday phrases.

Every phrase you speak casts a signal into your field, carrying a frequency that either aligns or distorts. By bringing awareness to the unconscious programs woven into everyday speech, you begin to reclaim authorship of your reality.

We explore modern language as code—reprogramming phrases like “I can’t afford it” into “I choose where my energy flows.” This class activates your ability to speak in alignment with your truth, power, and vision.

Your word is not just a statement. It is your wand.

This discussion offers a perspective of polarity—not as opposition, but as energy in motion.

Every e-motion within you, from joy to grief, exists to generate movement.

You are a living battery. Your emotions, decisions, and boundaries are the currents that shape your field. When you suppress one pole, you disrupt the current - energy stagnates. When you honor both, the current flows, and creation awakens.

Through this remembrance, you restore your inner current, transmuting emotion, pain, and perceived imbalance into creative flow.

Polarity is not conflict. It is the creation of all. It is the balance and harmony of energy in motion.

    Principle of Polarity

    TOGETHER WE RISE

    An In‑Person Gathering

    of Crone Awakening Wisdom

    September 10–13, 2026 |Highlands, North Carolina

Join Us in the Sacred Mountains

Join Crone Awakening Wisdom in the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains for Together We Rise, an in‑person gathering devoted to wisdom, story, sisterhood, and embodied joy. Held at The Mountain Retreat & Learning Center in Highlands, NC, this gathering invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and rise together in community.

Perched on a 4,200‑foot granite cliff on the Eastern Continental Divide, The Mountain offers sweeping, soul‑stirring views, ancient 400‑year‑old dwarf white oak trees, and a natural sanctuary that holds us as we reflect, celebrate, and transform.

    What We’ll Share Together

Over four nourishing days, we gather as elders, seekers, storytellers, and sisters.

✨ Sacred circles & breakout groups
    ✨ Storytelling & Elder Ceremony
✨ Workshops offered by and for our community
✨ Drumming, singing, dancing, and creative expression
✨ Talent show & playful celebration
✨ Spacious time for rest, reflection, and nature connection

Come to teach, to learn, to witness, or simply to be. Every voice matters. Every story is welcome.

    A Place That Holds Us

Surrounded by forests, sky, and stone, this sacred land supports deep listening and genuine connection. Walking paths, quiet spaces, and expansive vistas invite contemplation, while shared gathering spaces foster warmth, laughter, and belonging.

We are excited to offer the opportunity for members to join and experience being  a member of a Wisdom Circle.  The Circle is not a Course or class but an on-going "open topic" discussion group.

The purpose is to connect with other women, build your self-awareness, find support and learn from the wisdom of the group.

It is a chance to tell our stories, and to practice deep listening.

The Circle meets that same time each month. If you miss or can't make it, come back next time.
